Dr. Jenny Ison Stigers is an Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry.  She obtained her dental degree (1984) from the University of Kentucky, where she also completed a two year General Practice Residency.  She received a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry (1989) from Indiana University School of Dentistry and James Whitcomb Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She became board certified in 1995.  Dr. Stigers began her career with the University of Kentucky at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville and currently serves as director of the West Kentucky Mobile Dental Program.  She serves the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry as editor of the Reference Manual and as chair of the Task Force on Strengthening the Science in AAPD's Guidelines and Journals. She was a member of the first cohort of the AAPD Leadership Institute at the Kellogg School of Management and was selected as Pediatric Dentist of the Year in 2008.  Since becoming a director of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, she has served as Co-chair/Chair of the Qualifying Examination.

Dr. Stigers is married to Stephen W. Stigers, M.D., D.M.D.  They live in Cape Girardeau, Missouri with their daughter, Li Fu, and 4 dogs.
