Examination Committee

The Examination Committee is composed of Diplomates who have been appointed by the Board of Directors following a review process.

The Examination Committee provides a broad perspective of the pediatric dentistry specialty by preparing items for the Qualifying Examination and the Renewal of Certifcation examination. Members also assist in the development of vignettes for the Oral Clinical Examination and serve as an examiner. A member shall meet the following criteria to be considered for appointment:

  • A Diplomate in good standing.
  • An interval of 3 years after the completion of Board Certification.
  • Willingness to participate as an examiner for the Oral Clinical Examinations.
  • Demonstrates contemporary knowledge of all aspects of didactic and clinical pediatric dentistry.
  • Actively involved in clinical or academic pediatric dentistry.

Appointments are for one-year and following annual evaluation may be extended yearly to a maximum five-year term.
