Oral Clinical Examination
The purpose of the Oral Clinical Examination (OCE) is to enable the candidate to demonstrate proficiency in diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical care.The examination is composed of two sessions, each is one-hour in duration and timed and given the same half day. Each session is administered by a pair of examiners. Each one-hour session consists of four clinical protocols (vignettes) that are presented to the candidate for discussion. The topic areas that are covered are listed in the Overview as well as other pertinent information that the candidate will find useful.
The OCE is currently administered in Dallas, Texas in March and September. Starting in 2010 the OCE will be offered only during September in Dallas.
