Re-Examination Policy
Qualifying Examination
The Candidate who fails the QE three (3) times within the five-year or eight-year eligibility period must show evidence of further training and/or educational experiences before reapplying. The evidence will be reviewed by the Appeals Committee to determine the Candidate's eligibility for further examination. Examples, but not limited to, of further training and education experiences to consider are review courses, continuing education programs, and study clubs.
Oral Clinical Examination
The Candidate who fails the OCE three (3) times within the five-year or eight-year eligibility period must show evidence of further training and/or educational experiences before applying. The evidence will be reviewed by the Appeals Committee to determine the Candidate's eligibility for further examination. A Candidate who fails the OCE will be limited to re-examination once in a 12-month period during their five-year eligibility period.
