ABPD Board of Directors Highlight – William Greenhill, D.M.D.

The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry is pleased to have Dr. William Greenhill serving as the 2016-2017 President.

Dr. William Greenhill received his D.M.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in Jackson, Mississippi. After graduation in 1989, Dr. Greenhill entered the United States Air Force and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Langley AFB, VA in 1990. In 1995, he received his certification in Pediatric Dentistry from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and served as Chief of Pediatric Dentistry at Yokota AB, Japan and Barksdale AFB, LA until 1999.

In 2001, Dr. Greenhill became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD). During that time, he has served as an Examiner for ABPD since 2005, Chair of Part IV of the Oral Clinical Examination from 2006-2007, Chair of Part B of the Oral Clinical Examination from 2009-2012 and board liaison and Chair for the Renewal of Certification Process Subcommittee from 2013-2016. Dr. Greenhill has served on the Board of Directors since 2012 and will complete his six-year term in May 2018 as Past President.

Dr. Greenhill is in private practice in Union, KY and serves as an Adjunct Professor at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He and his wife, Beth, reside in Union, KY. They have four children and two grandchildren. Dr. Greenhill is an avid runner, running his last marathon in Dublin, Ireland. He has a passion for baseball which he shares with his patients, staff and colleagues. As an enthusiastic baseball fan, Dr. Greenhill enjoys relating baseball to everyday life. He is quick to share stories and facts that easily draws his audience in to hear more. ABPD Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Jeffrey Dean, relates that William’s easy going and collaborative leadership style has made him a joy to work with over the course of his years as a Director, and, in particular, as our President.
